Dear Wonderful Patrons of the Broadway Rose Theatre Company,

You’ve seen the magic on stage—the stunning costumes, the incredible voices, and especially the heart and soul that make every Broadway Rose performance special. And take it from me, Broadway Rose is special.

I’m Lyn Cramer, a professor of dance at the Weizenhoffer School of Musical Theatre at the University of Oklahoma, and proud guest director at Broadway Rose Theatre. Over the years I’ve had the immense pleasure of directing seven shows at this incredible theatre, starting with Dirty Rotten Scoundrels in 2009 and continuing most recently with Beautiful: The Carole King Musical this summer. Each experience has deepened my admiration for Broadway Rose’s unwavering commitment to artists and the art of theatre.

Broadway Rose is more than a theatre; it is a vital training ground for young performers. Over the years, 19 of my students have had the privilege of working here, and I enthusiastically encourage more to follow! Broadway Rose offers a top-notch training environment that is both rigorous and nurturing: young performers gain stage credits while forging relationships with professionals from all over the country. It’s a safe space to get their feet wet without sacrificing the excellence patrons like you expect. Most recently, three of the fantastic actors playing The Drifters in Beautiful were my students, and it was a total win-win! Broadway Rose connected with a stellar group of young singer-dancers, and the performers gained invaluable experience that will serve them well in their blossoming careers.

Arts organizations need our support now more than ever. COVID-19 changed the arts landscape in ways we are still navigating, with fewer opportunities for talent nationwide. Young artists lost years of school training and performing experience during the pandemic. The arts are not always a priority for funders focused on recovery. Yet, thanks to your support, Broadway Rose has remained a beacon of hope and excellence, continuing to produce shows that elate and inspire.

I love the Broadway Rose, and I know you do too. I hope you’re as eager as I am to support them as they continue to bring artistic excellence and opportunity to this region. The future is bright for Broadway Rose, thanks to supporters like you, and I’m honored to be a part of it.

With heartfelt gratitude,
