Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced dancer, the company’s adult dance classes offer something for everyone looking to build their skills, challenge themselves, and have fun while learning.

Broadway Rose Theatre Company is committed to providing educational opportunities that foster both personal growth and artistic excellence. Education & Community Engagement Manager Amaya Santamaría, is proud that we are offering more classes. “Looking back, it’s amazing to see that we’ve been doing these dance classes since 2022, and started out with just one session of an all levels dance class,” says Amaya. “With the support and feedback from our amazing students, we’ve been able to go from offering that single, all levels series to 13 sessions of multi-level classes covering both tap and jazz styles.”

Our programs are designed to support and inspire dancers of all levels, creating a welcoming and encouraging environment for anyone who wants to get moving, improve their skills, and unleash their inner performer. Whether you’re looking to explore dance for the first time or refine your technique as a seasoned performer, Broadway Rose offers a space where you can grow, have fun, and connect with a vibrant community of artists.

According to Amaya, “We get students from ages 16 to 80 in these classes and there’s a huge variety of experience levels represented. We see some folks who dance in shows, some who are returning to dance after years away, and even some who are fulfilling a lifelong wish to take a tap class for the first time ever. It’s a special thing, and we’re so glad to be able to offer these opportunities to our community!”

For those who are new to the world of dance, Broadway Rose’s Adult Beginners Jazz class is the perfect place to start. Designed for students with little to no prior experience, this class focuses on the fundamental techniques and movement principles that form the foundation of jazz dance. Each week introduces fresh choreography, making it a fun and engaging way to build confidence on the dance floor. While registering for the full series is recommended for the best progress, the option to drop in for individual classes makes it easy to fit into your schedule.

For seasoned dancers, the Adult Intermediate/Advanced Jazz class offers an exciting challenge. This class is tailored for those with studio training, performance experience, or a solid foundation in jazz. Students will have the opportunity to perfect their skills while learning more complex choreography each week. As with the beginner class, the series can be taken in its entirety, or you can choose to attend individual sessions based on your availability.

Broadway Rose also offers tap dance classes designed to accommodate both beginners and intermediate-level students. The Adult Beginner/Intermediate Tap class is ideal for those looking to develop their tap skills while learning fun choreography set to musical theatre classics. Students will break down new moves and practice them at a comfortable pace, gaining both technique and confidence along the way.

Amaya shares, “I’m especially excited to be rolling out our new Intro to Tap series this year for true tap beginners! My hope is that we’ll see those students eventually advance through our other levels of classes.”

For those who are already familiar with tap dance and are ready to take their skills to the next level, the Adult Intermediate/Advanced Tap class is the perfect fit. This class is aimed at students with an intermediate or advanced foundation in tap, including those who are comfortable with moves like the flap ball change, Maxie Ford, and time steps. Expect fast-paced choreography and challenging steps that will help you refine your technique and impress on the dance floor.
